THE BUND

I have already written alot about The Bund in an earlier blog post, but the popular promenade was the first thing i thought about when it comes to tourist attractions in Shanghai. If you’re in town then The Bund is a must see. With a cosy promenade along the river on the puxi-side and with a spectacular view over the skyscrapers on the pudong-side, you do get a view worth the trip. You can see all the popular skyscrapers in town, and there is also lots of great (but expensive) restaurants, rooftop bars and small cafees. Look behind you if you want to see more than just skyscrapers, and you will see the dozens of historical buildings that’s lining behind the famous promenade.

How to get there: the easiest way is to take the metro. Along line 2 you’ll find a stop called East Nanjing Road, this is where you go off. If i remember correctly exit 2 is the best exit. After exiting you only have to walk 5 minutes along the main shoppingroad Nanjing and voila – you’re at The Bund!

Er du i byen er The Bund et must see.

TIP: visit The Bund late in the evening (around 18/19) to see The Bund light up. The view is incredible when all the skyscrapers light up and the city gets ready for another night. If you want the majestic view with a sunrise (or sunset) to top it all off,  leave early in the morning or afternoon to get a beautiful picture of this tourist attraction.
